He has a smile on his face with his arms crossed while looking directly at the spectator. While his arms are crossed, his left index finger on his left hand is pointing back to the room behind him. His arms are also resting on a stack of books on the leftside of the windowsill. In the background can be seen a wooden canvas on a pastel on the right side. On the left side can be seen the entrance way to the another room. Below the windowsill, there is a Latin Inscription.
