Skirt Panel (India)

This is a Skirt panel. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1902. Its medium is cotton; gold leaf on wax or gum base and its technique is mordant painted and dyed with resist (chintz) on tabby weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
