Bag (tobacco Pouch) (Germany)

This is a Bag (tobacco pouch). It is dated 1815–40 and we acquired it in 1910. Its medium is glass beads, silk and its technique is knitted using crossed stockinette stitch; silk strung with glass beads; worked as a tube beginning at bottom. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Gift of Mrs. John Hobart Warren.
