Drawing, Design for a Painted Panel

This is a Drawing. It was designed by Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin. It is dated ca. 1770 and we acquired it in 1911. Its medium is a cloacked figure is seen seated in meditation near a herm. above, the flying nude figure of diana, who pours water from two pitchers.she appears against clouds and an arc, on which rest two urns, one superimposed on the other, and from which two swags i. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This object was donated by Advisory Council. It is credited Purchased for the Museum by the Advisory Council.
