Terrapin Soup Tureen, Lid And Liner

This is a Tureen, lid and liner. It was manufactured by Samuel Kirk & Son. It is dated 1880–90 and we acquired it in 1926. Its medium is repoussé and chased silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

"S. Kirk & Son" script upper and lower case double struck; "11 OZ" on base of tureen; same marks, single clear strike on bottom of liner; stamped on underside of liner: "S. Kirk & Son/11 oz"
