Cup And Saucer (possibly France)

This is a Cup and saucer. It is dated late 18th–early 19th century and we acquired it in 1938. Its medium is glazed, gilt and enameled porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Erskine Hewitt. It is credited Bequest of Erskine Hewitt.

Its dimensions are

H x W (a: cup): 6 x 8 cm (2 3/8 x 3 1/8 in.) H x diam. (b: saucer): 2.8 x 12.3 cm (1 1/8 x 4 13/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On base of both (a,b): red stamp of crowned elaborate "D"
