Hooked Rug, Paintings Underfoot

This is a hooked rug. It was designed by Jan Van Daalen and after Lyonel Charles Feininger. It is dated ca. 1950 and we acquired it in 1967. Its medium is cotton, wool, latex and its technique is uncut loops hooked through cotton substrate. It is a part of the Textiles department.
