Shaker no. 7 rocking chair Rocking Chair

This is a Rocking chair. It was made by Society of Shakers, RM Wagan & Co.. It is dated 1878–1910 and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is stained cherry or maple, modern paper "rush" seat. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Jacob M. Kaplan. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Jacob M. Kaplan.
