Casket (Possibly Dutch Colonial)

This is a Casket. It is dated 17th century and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is shaped and engraved tortoiseshell with applied pigment and repoussé silver (mounts). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
