Il Pellegrino di Montesanto Bowl

This is a bowl. It is dated 1924–25 and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is glazed slip-cast porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

An example of this model was shown at Il Biennale Monza 1925 and in the Macy’s 1928 International Exposition of Art in Industry. It displays a whimsy combined with elements of Italian traditional design.

It is credited Museum purchase from General Acquisitions Endowment.
