Textile (Peru)

This is a Textile. It is dated 1000–1470 and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is cotton, wool and its technique is complementary warps, resist-dye (tie dye); fabric no. 1: openly woven plain weave, cotton; fabric no. 2: tape (5cm wide): warp faced plain weave patterned by extra warp floats, cotton; fabric no. 3: tape (3cm wide): warp faced plain weave patterned by war. It is a part of the Textiles department.
