Sleeve Fragment

This is a Sleeve fragment. It is dated early 20th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton, metal-wrapped silk and silk and its technique is plain weave foundation; embroidery in relief over cotton cards; metal thread on front interlocks with cotton thread on the back at each turn; two lines of chain stitch. It is a part of the Textiles department.
