Cap (Peru)

This is a Cap. It is dated 800–1100 and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is wool and its technique is tapestry woven, single interlock; outside fabric: tapestry: interlocked; inside fabric: single-weft double cloth (warp-faced plain weave). It is a part of the Textiles department.
