Textile (Peru)

This is a Textile. It is dated 800–1000 and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton, wool and its technique is wrapping and tapestry: slit and interlocked. note: the character of the bands is determined in part by the very heavy warps and the wrapping of single warps. It is a part of the Textiles department.
