This is a Fragment. It is dated late 17th century and we acquired it in 1972. Its medium is silk, metal thread and its technique is damassé foundation (8 harness satin plus plain weave). satin patterned by floats of discontinuous supplementary wefts. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Estate of Julian Clarence Levi.
