Fragments

This is a Fragments. It is dated late 17th–early 18th century and we acquired it in 1972. Its medium is silk, metallic thread and its technique is damassé foundation (8-harness satin plus 3/1 twill weave with continuous and discontuous supplementary wefts). It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Estate of Julian Clarence Levi.
