This is a Sample card. It was designed by Dorothy Wright Liebes and woven by Dorothy Wright Liebes. It is dated ca. 1949 and we acquired it in 1972. Its medium is cotton, viscose rayon, wool, cellulose acetate butyrate-laminated metallic yarn and its technique is 2 and 2 twill woven with designated warps pulled up for pile (velvet).\. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Estate of Dorothy Liebes Morin. It is credited Gift of the Estate of Dorothy Liebes Morin.

Its dimensions are

H x W (sample): 26.1 × 18.5 cm (10 1/4 × 7 5/16 in.) H x W (card): 31.8 × 27.9 cm (12 1/2 in. × 11 in.)
