"Just One [Pipe] More" Matchsafe

This is a matchsafe. It is dated 1886–87 and we acquired it in 1978. Its medium is silver, enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Stephen W. Brener and Carol B. Brener. It is credited Gift of Stephen W. Brener and Carol B. Brener.

Its dimensions are

3.9 x 3.3 x .9 cm (1 9/16 x 1 5/16 x 3/8 in. )

It has the following markings

Duty mark, illegible mark, town mark, date letter (C) all stamped on upper edge of reverse side. 10, B.H.J., duty mark, lion passant stamped on underside of lid.
