This is a matchsafe. It was manufactured by Theodore B. Starr. It is dated 1905–15 and we acquired it in 1978. Its medium is gold, diamonds, emeralds, rubies. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Carol B. Brener, Stephen W. Brener and Emily Miller. It is credited Gift of Stephen W. Brener and Carol B. Brener.
