Covered Pitcher (England)

This is a Covered pitcher. It was manufactured by Wedgwood. It is dated ca. 1861 and we acquired it in 1979. Its medium is molded, glazed and gilt stoneware, white metal (mount). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Carol Littman.

Its dimensions are

19.7 x 16.8 x 16.8 cm (7 3/4 x 6 5/8 x 6 5/8 in.)

It has the following markings

Patent registration mark applied to underside of base: "August 22, 1861" [patent number 142847]. "Wedgwood & Co." mark below patent mark. Gilder's mark on underside "1055" in gold.
