Table Cover (Italy)

This is a Table cover. It is dated late 16th–early 17th century and we acquired it in 1950. Its medium is silk, metallic thread, linen knotted net and its technique is needlework on hand knotted net. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Richard Cranch Greenleaf (American, 1887–1961). It is credited Gift of Richard C. Greenleaf Esq. in memory of his mother, Adeline Emma Greenleaf.
