Pleated Fan (France)

This is a Pleated fan. It is dated mid-19th century and we acquired it in 1951. Its medium is gilded paper leaf with hand-colored lithograph, sandalwood sticks, pierced and inlaid with steel discs, brass ball with silk and metallic tassel. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Henry Woodward Haynes. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Henry Woodward Haynes.
