Salesman's Sample Book (France)

This is a Salesman's sample book. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1951. Its medium is leather, paper, wool, cotton and its technique is plain and twill weave, some printed. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of Mr. and Mrs. Talbot Jones Taylor.

H x W x D: 21.6 x 9.5 x 4 cm (8 1/2 x 3 3/4 x 1 9/16 in.) 30 pages

It is inscribed

Lettered on the outside: "GOUBIE A ROUBAIX . DEPOT A PARIS"; on inside: "REMOISSENET. Sr de Mr. AUGin MANDAR. RUE ST, HONORE No 26."
