Pleated Fan

This is a Pleated fan. It was after Guido Reni. It is dated mid- 18th century and we acquired it in 1952. Its medium is painted and gilded parchment leaf, carved and pierced mother-of-pearl sticks overlaid with gold and silver leaf, spangles and painted details. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor.
