Brooch

This is a brooch. We acquired it in 1955. Its medium is enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Grey and blue geometric motif cigarette case trimmed with gold. There are large gold diagonal squares that overlap and white chevrons with small black squares. These go across and around the piece. There is a center square diamond flanked by two triangle-set diamonds.

Enamel cigarette case. There are six rows of beige and white elongated and horizontal octagons on a beige background. Each octagon has two squares of green enamel above and below. There is beige showing in between the two green squares. Near the right side of the case, three of the octagons are set in diamonds. On the left and right, six of the beige squares are set in diamonds, Purple enamel goes around the body of the case. The thumbpiece is green enamel.

A brooch in the form of an inverted square pyramid with a smaller regular square pyramid in the center. The color is composed of medium red and tints of red in a pin stripe pattern following the form of the inverted pyramid and a lighter tint surrounding the base of the smaller pyramid, all with a matte finish. Narrow white uneven areas surround the edges of the inverted pyramid.
