Fragment (Egypt)

This is a Fragment. It is dated 6th–7th century and we acquired it in 1955. Its medium is wool and its technique is dovetail tapestry; one weft carried at a time; s-spun white wool warp; s-spun white wool and s-spun red-purple wool wefts. It is a part of the Textiles department.
