This is a porringer and lid. It was made by Johann Erhard Heuglin II. It is dated ca. 1725 and we acquired it in 1960. Its medium is silver gilt. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Estate of James Hazen Hyde. It is credited Gift of the Estate of James Hazen Hyde.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 6.3 x 19.5 x 12.5 cm (2 1/2 x 7 11/16 x 4 15/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside of bowl and upper side of lid: pineapple with seven lobes around central lobe above a solid base; misstruck: "I E H" in a heart-shaped shield surround
