Poster, Bushey Park by Tram

This is a Poster. It was designed by Edward McKnight Kauffer and printed by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son and made for (as the client) Underground Electric Railways of London Company Ltd.. It is dated 1924 and we acquired it in 1963. Its medium is offset lithograph on paper, lined. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Edward McKnight Kauffer. It is credited Gift of Mrs. E. McKnight Kauffer.

A photograph of a waterpark attraction. The scene is sunny with clear blue skies and visible clouds. Centered in the photograph is a vertical waterpark attraction taking the shape of what can be described as a hybrid of a tree and a treehouse. The base of the attraction is shaped like a trunk. Right above it is an elevated platform where visitors can step in. On top is a large tilted barrel with a continous flow of water, cascading and splashing throughout the structure. The attraction is decorated with toon-like shrubs, branches, and hanging monkeys. Surrounding this energetic scene are children interacting with the splashes of water. A woman on a blue wheelchair is close to the cascading water on the left.
