Fan Leaf (France)

This is a Fan leaf. It was designed by Antoine Denis Chaudet, Charles Percier and Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine and engraved by Jean Godefroy. It is dated ca. 1797 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is silk and its technique is printed by engraved plate on 7\1 satin weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Richard Cranch Greenleaf (American, 1887–1961). It is credited Bequest of Richard Cranch Greenleaf in memory of his mother, Adeline Emma Greenleaf.
