Sampler (Mexico)

This is a Sampler. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk and linen embroidery, linen foundation and its technique is satin, eyelet buttonhole, four-sided, long-armed cross, stem, herringbone, cross, double running, and aztec stitches on plain weave; edging of needle made looping. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe.
