Sampler (Mexico)

This is a Sampler. It is dated 1848–49 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is cotton, linen, and silk embroidery, glass beads, linen foundation and its technique is withdrawn element work and cut fabric work with needle lace fillings; embroidered beadwork; plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe.
