Map Sampler (England)

This is a Map sampler. It was embroidered by Elizabeth Evenett. It is dated 1801 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk embroidery, wool foundation and its technique is cross, satin, stem, split and knot stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
