Sidewall, Piacenza

This is a sidewall. It was designed by Nathalie Du Pasquier and manufactured by Gebr. Rasch GmbH & Co.. It is dated 1992 and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is machine-printed on paper. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.

Du Pasquier was a founding member of Memphis, a Milan-based group of young designers who created bright, bold products in the post-modernist style. The members of Memphis felt it was important to do away with traditional design hierarchies, and their work is celebrated for combining motifs of high and low culture in one piece. Although this paper post-dates Memphis by several years, its floral-like pattern is formal and traditional.

It is credited Gift of Gebr. Rasch GmbH & Co..

Its dimensions are

1005 x 53.5 cm (395 11/16 x 21 1/16 in. )
