Trivet (Germany)

This is a trivet. It was designed by Theodor Paetsch and manufactured by Theodor Paetsch. It is dated 1920–40 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Victor Wiener. It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

Its dimensions are

H 0.5 x D 18.2 cm (3/16 x 7 3/16 in. )

It has the following markings

On underside: "5380" and "37" printed in brown; incised "4N" and "18E" on either side of manufacturer's mark (small circle containing a double-towered castle.)
