This is a ashtray. It was manufactured by Schramberger Majolikafabrik. It is dated 1920–40 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Victor Wiener. It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

Its dimensions are

height 6.4, diameter 12.6 centimeters

It has the following markings

On bottom in black, "55" and the initials SMF contained in a shield surrounded by the words "HANDPAINTED", "SCHRAMBERG", and "GERMANY". Also, impressed in the clay "2549(?)".
