Printed in black ink, upper left: Date/Name/Title/Street Address/City, State, Zip Code; center: Dear Citibank Secretaries:/ This letter illustrates the typing format for correspondence using the/general use 8 1/2” x 11” letterhead./A printed dot illustrates the position of the typewritten date and sets/the margin alignment for the entire letter. The typewritten inside/address is positions three line spaces below the date. The saluta-/tion begins one lines space below the folding line which is printed/along the left edge of the page. Leave one double-space before/starting the body of the letter./The solid block typing format is employed on all letters, requiring/no tab stops. The right margin is no less than three-quarters of/an inch. Typing is single-spaced with two line spaces between/paragraphs rather than paragraph indentions./The complementary close is double-spaced below the letter body./Leave two double-spaces for the signature, typing the sender’s/name and title unless they are imprinted on the letterhead itself./Sincerely,/Name of Sender/Title (if required).
