Poster, West Point

This is a Poster. It was designed by Unknown. It is dated 1940 and we acquired it in 1949. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

In the years before the Air Force was in existent, pilots enlisted in the Army and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. This poster, by an unknown artist, advertises the U.S. Army Air Corps., as the “West Point of the Air,” and aims to recruit educated, able-bodied men in their early to mid-20s.
