Textile (Peru)

This is a Textile. It is dated 1400–1600 and we acquired it in 1949. Its medium is cotton, wool and its technique is rib weave; complementary warps; section a: complimentary warps, plain weave with inner wefts; section b: transposed warps; section c: warp faced plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of Erskine Hewitt.
