Sampler (England)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Elizabeth Tudor. It is dated 1834 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk and human hair embroidery on wool foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross, stem, satin, eyelet, buttonhole, half cross, knot, and running stitching on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
