Sampler (Morocco)

This is a Sampler. It is dated ca. 1900 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk and cotton embroidery on cotton foundation and its technique is embroidered in double running, satin, stem, and long-armed cross stitches and withdrawn element work with overcasting on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
