Embroidered Picture, The Judgement of Solomon

This is a Embroidered picture. It is dated late 17th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk embroidery on silk foundation with metal, wood, seed pearls, mica and its technique is embroidered in flat satin, stem, and back and knot stitches on seven and one satin foundation. relief by a variety of looping, wrapping, and braiding and silk wrapped flexible coils. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.
