Bag (Bolivia)

This is a Bag. It is dated 1950–2000 and we acquired it in 1987. Its medium is wool and its technique is warp faced weave. pattern in stripes created by warp floats. tassels and strap also warp-faced weave with floats. note the chevron effect in the narrow brown stripe caused by a change from the s direction of the yarn to a z direction. It is a part of the Textiles department.
