Textile (England)

This is a Textile. It is dated 1810–15 and we acquired it in 1987. Its medium is cotton and its technique is block printed on plain weave; blue and black printed; orange and yellow immersion dyed. (one color is a development of the other probably using a chromate.); many block marks present; size of the repeat unit is probably not the size of the blocks; glaze s. It is a part of the Textiles department.
