Plate (Netherlands)

This is a plate. It was manufactured by Lambertus Van Eenhoorn and Metalen Pot [de] (the Metal Pot Factory). It is dated 1691–1721 and we acquired it in 1986. Its medium is tin glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Walter Phelps Warren. It is credited Bequest of Walter Phelps Warren.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 3.5 x 26.5 cm (1 3/8 x 10 7/16 in.)

It has the following markings

Marks: On underside in underglaze blue: "LVE / 5 / 2 / 16" (for Lambertus van Eenhoorn, owner of De Metalen Pot Factory 1691-1721.

It is inscribed

"BOY" on front, surrounded by flourishes
