Tray, from a Japonisme Lemonade Set Tray

This is a tray. It was manufactured by Worcester Royal Porcelain Company, Ltd. (a.k.a. Royal Worcester Porcelain Company) and Royal Worcester. It is dated 1879 and we acquired it in 1989. Its medium is hard paste porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Museum purchase from Decorative Arts Association Acquisition Fund.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 2.5 × 28.9 × 26.8 cm (1 in. × 11 3/8 in. × 10 9/16 in.)

It has the following markings

Underside: [1] crown above a circle with scrolling W's and "C51" at center, impressed underglaze (Royal Worcester manufactury and date mark) [2] "CE", painted in black (artist's initials) [3] three dots, painted in gold
