This is a pitcher. It was manufactured by Wedgwood and Norton Spritz. It is dated ca. 1879 and we acquired it in 1991. Its medium is glazed earthenware (“majolica”). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Marilyn Karmason Spritz. It is credited Gift of Dr. and Mrs. Norton Spritz.

Its dimensions are

14 x 15.5 x 13 cm (5 1/2 x 6 1/8 x 5 1/8 in.)

It has the following markings

Marks: Impressed on underside of base: "WEDGWOOD / 24 / M N N H G [?]." Painted in green overglaze on underside of base: "3 / M2762." Applied registry mark lozenge for 1879 on underside.
