This is a vase. It is dated ca. 1928 and we acquired it in 1990. Its medium is mold-blown glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
The Ruba Rombic line of glassware designed by Reuben Haley for the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Company and patented in 1928 consisted of more than forty forms, from decanters, vases, and candlesticks to drinking glasses and plates, all available in a variety of colors. The line became the company’s most popular offering.
It is credited Museum purchase from James Ford Fund.
