Creamer

This is a creamer. It was manufactured by EPIAG. It is dated ca. 1935–39 and we acquired it in 1991. Its medium is porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Museum purchase from Charles E. Sampson Memorial Fund.

Nickel-plated brass elongated semi-spherical creamer resting on two splayed strips of the metal, which serve as feet. There is a thick-looking slab of vertical dark wood attached to a slimmer piece of the metal, which is the handle. The spout, halfway around the creamer from the handle, is shaped like a right triangle. The grey metal is quite tarnished. The creamer is pictured with other matching objects in the set: a teapot, sugar bowl, and cup.
