Travel Plate

This is a plate. It was manufactured by Wedgwood. It is dated ca. 1938 and we acquired it in 1992. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Paul F. Walter. It is credited Gift of Paul Walter.

H x diam.: 2 x 25.3 cm (13/16 x 9 15/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside: Transfer-printed in black, "TRAVEL/DESIGNED BY/RAVILIOUS". Underneath, also transfer-printed in black, a circular mark, "WEDGWOOD OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON/MADE IN ENGLAND." Underglaze pattern number written in red, "TK472 (unclear). Impressed date code, "WEDGWOOD/ID54".
