Locket (Austria)

This is a locket. It is dated ca. 1866 and we acquired it in 1993. Its medium is gold, enamel, diamonds. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Anne Wikler Mininberg. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Anne Mininberg in memory of Mildred Mininberg.

Its dimensions are

6 x 2.8 x 2 cm (2 3/8 x 1 1/8 x 13/16 in.)

It has the following markings

Marks: A in square stamped on side of back rim (possibly Vienna mark of 1866 - . (Tardy, p. 74); other unidentified mark.
